William L. Brown

Founder

William “Bill” L. Brown was the visionary founder of The Brownstone Group. Raised in Midland, Texas, he graduated from Midland High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Arizona in 1966 and a Master of Architecture from Rice University in 1967.

In 1971, Bill launched his first real estate company and went on to play a pivotal role in the construction of more than 6,100 housing units by 2005. Alongside his three sons, he continued to design, develop, and build over 15,000 additional units until his passing in 2022.

Though Bill is deeply missed, his legacy lives on. The values he instilled continue to guide The Brownstone Group’s work, forming a strong foundation for future growth and success.
